DR533 Series Communication Units support many MCC (Main Control Center) communication protocols and pave the way for many future applications with their transparent communication support. They continuously listen to 3 different TCP port channels. These channels perform 3 different functions:
TCP Port 0: Executes the communication protocol over the incoming connection; meters connected to RS485 Port 1 can be read.
TCP Port 1: Provides transparent communication with RS485 Port 1.
TCP Port 2: Provides transparent communication with RS485 Port 2.
A diagram of an example usage is as follows.
In this example, baud rate change (baud switch) is also supported while transparent communication is maintained on RS485 port 1. Meters communicating at 9600 bps are connected on RS485 port 2.
