When was Desimal Elektronik founded and what are its fields of activity?
Desimal Elektronik was founded in Istanbul in 2005. Our company produces solutions related to energy efficiency and energy monitoring/control. We design and manufacture communication units primarily for IoT (Internet of Things) and OSOS (Automatic Meter Reading Systems).
Which sectors does Desimal Elektronik serve?

What is AMR and what does it do?
AMR (Automatic Meter Reading System) is a system that enables the remote and automatic reading of data from meters such as electricity, water, and gas. This system helps in managing energy consumption more effectively, reducing loss and leakage rates, and facilitating billing processes.
Which technologies do the communication units (modems) offered by Desimal support?
The communication units we offer as Desimal support 2G (GPRS), 3G (UMTS), 4G (LTE), and NB-IoT technologies. We have various modem models according to different communication needs.
What is the warranty period for your products?
All our products are covered by a 2-year warranty. Additionally, our technical support and maintenance services continue after the warranty period.
Which standards and certifications do your products have?
Our products are manufactured in compliance with relevant national and international standards, primarily CE. They have undergone necessary tests and are certified.
Which communication protocols do your modems support?
Our modems support commonly used communication protocols such as IEC 62056-21 and Modbus RTU/TCP. Additionally, transparent communication support allows for the use of different protocols as well.
How do your modems operate during power outages?
During power outages, supercapacitors provide enough energy to report the outage as an alarm. Optionally, models with rechargeable batteries are available for situations requiring extended communication. In battery-powered models, products can continue to operate at full function for 5 hours or more.
How does the remote software update feature work?
Our modems feature remote software update capability triggered via TCP and SMS. This allows device software to be updated, new features added, and potential issues resolved without needing to go to the field.
How many meters can one modem read?
Our modems can typically read multiple meters via the RS485 port. While the number of readable meters depends on the protocol used and system configuration, support for up to 32 meters is generally possible.

How does the repair process work for defective products?
For defective products, you first need to contact our technical support team. For issues that cannot be resolved remotely, you may be asked to send the product to our service center. Repairs for products under warranty are carried out free of charge.
